This is probably one of the more basic stations that I've seen around London. The unfortunate fact is that there's nothing much right around the station, but you've to pass through this tube station to get to some of your key attractions.

Station is situated in a convenient place for you to visit Borough Market and the Shard. My honest opinion is that there's nothing necessarily wrong with this station in particular. I use it fairly often every day and it runs as you would expect of a Tube Station.

Awful experience yesterday night at Borough tube station, me and y frieend entered the station at aroud 1.40am as the gate was still opened, we saw other people entering and there wasn't any advertisements stating that the last train was gone and as soon as we arrived downstairs to wait for the tube to come we were told to go back upstairs as there were no more train passing from this station. So we ended up paying 2.70 pounds for entering and exiting the station without using any service. When I tried to ask to have a refund to the person assisting upstairs, he repeated that the statio was closed raising his voice at me and not letting me even finish my sentence.
Awful costumer service. As usual TFL is quick to take moneys from people but not as quick to offer a decent service to the citizens.

The only good light in this poor service condition is that once I arrived to London bridge station I could ask there to a much kinder person to help me and give me my refund for a service i haven't used.

We couldn't use the metro because we were a rather large group and there were not enough cards to pay for all of us (there's a time limit in between each transaction and we were in a bit of a rush), but on that station we found Richard whom was of great help and even more patient explaining to us the options we had. Among those options he even walked us through the bus system as well so we could decide on the best course of actions.

The station is a complete disaster. The trains are not late most of the time but they are always overcrowded and often dirty. The staff are unhelpful and there are far too many people crammed into the station at any time. It's difficult to get around as it is too small and there is never enough space for everyone. The air quality is terrible. I avoid this station at all costs.

I recently collapsed in one of the lifts due to heart condition; the station staff dealt with the situation both expertly and in a very kindly way. I was soon in the care of the ambulance service and on my way to hospital
Couldn't have been dealt with better and it demonstrated to me how important station staff are
