Clean, well-lit, easy to navigate. Of all the train stations I have experienced, this was one of the easiest to walk through with no previous experience with the station.

I can’t speak to the complaints people seem to have about the staff (most of these complaints seem pointless since the staffing is constantly rotating). But the station itself is managed just fine, zero issues here.

We were there at around midnight while on our journey aboard Zephyr. The stop is about 30 mins. Can’t do much at midnight but the station was well-lit even that late. Weirdly the Amtrak stops quite far from the main station, not sure why. The Zephyr does the Denver to SLC stretch in the same day and I was reminded of a line from a song in Disney’s HSMTMTS: “Sure maybe Salt Lake is not close; Denver always seemed so far away”. They were wrong! Lol

Un estación tranquila , todo está bien organizado y limpio, tiene buena señalización de cada servicio. Allí puedes intercambiar tren a bus de acuerdo a tu requerimiento de viaje. Para llegar a la estación atraviesas parte del downtown por la Temple st. Por dónde ubicas el Vivint Arena, El Gateway entre otros atractivos turísticos.

No bathrooms at the station anymore, and every single bathroom on the train (Provo bound, 9:06pm Friday November 22) was “out of service.” This is pathetic, UTA.

Open and spacious station with great connection between commuter trains (Frontrunner, light rail (Trax), and buses. No climatized waiting area.
The adjacent platforms serve Amtrak’s Intercity long distance trains.

This is a spacious station but how come at the central station there are no food vendors Better to bring your own food otherwise you will either have to walk a mile to 711 to get something or starve to death. The station is beautifully artistically designed, especially the rocks that's look like suitcases.

They won't let me have my small dresser because it's metal. The lady won't even let me take my folding chair either, even though there's a whole empty train car for people to throw their bicycles and whatever else and even though I'm basically getting off at the next stop, at least well before the next big city. The facility is nice though and prices are competitive compared to staying up all night in the freezing cold for a bus that probably might not show up anyway. So instead of 1 star, 3 star.
