An absolute beauty of a hotel restoration. The atmosphere is fantastic. Service was great, and bartenders and waitress were great. Now food, on the other hand ?. Almost the entire party hated their food. Some with stomach problems the next day. I had the bison steak, a $45 regret. I could have gone to the Goodwill, bought an old boot that would have been easier to chew! But now I understand the reason for the Crocodile Dundee steak knife at the table. The desert was good. So, basically, just hit the bar or speakeasy, get a dessert, and split.

This place has great food. We asked if we could have cheese, tomatoes, and bread & butter pickles only on our to go order burgers and our wish was granted. We loved the firm potato buns.

Super nice lobby and bar. Gorgeous wood bar!
Fine dining in back.
I had a grill cheese for 11$ w fries
It was worth every penny and I will come back for dinner.
Employees obviously really care about this place.
War Room has secret entrance...
Went back for absolutely delicious salmon dinner with cubed potatoes.
Shrimp appetizer and the Gold Rush adult beverage.
Best dinner of the year so fat for me

My husband and I had dinner here this evening. Our food was incredible and the presentation was beautiful. Our server, Reese, was very attentive and a delight. As it was my birthday, Reese presented me with a birthday card signed by all the service staff! Nice touch! It was our first time dining here but it certainly won’t be the last!

My wife and I had an exceptional breakfast at the 1887 Historic Eatery this morning. The service was first class and the decor amazing. The staff is welcoming and Stan, the owner, is very personable. If you are looking for a memorable dining experience, visit the Saint Cloud Hotel in Cañon City Colorado.

The Fremont Public House is a beautifully restored restaurant bar. The Frontier steak sandwich, and the Riverbend chicken sandwich are both very good. This is quite a unique experience for Canon City, Worth the drive from Colorado Springs, even though for sandwiches it is more than you would typically spend. The staff was attentive and friendly. $$-$$$.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Nice atmosphere. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Gravy and biscuits, no hash browns or potatoes.
Eggs Benedict, sauce had no flavor and was served with French fries. English muffin was stale. Cut back on branding every glass and plate and put some focus on a chef and quality ingredients. Have talked to others and we all agree we won’t be back. You need more than a fancy dining room to have repeat business.
