We brought our son's car here because Tesla had nothing until November to "fix the issue," they originally said was the problem when we took it to them for a diagnostic. According to them, it wasn't an emergency. We decided we needed a second opinion and are glad we went to Texas International Motors. Tesla had wrongly diagnosed the issue with his car but Texas International Motors figured it out because they were so thorough. The staff was friendly and kind, not to mention extremely helpful. Thank you for figuring out the issue with his car and making it safe again. I would highly recommend them!

I’ve been a customer of Texas International Motors for some time now, bringing in several of my cars, including my G-Wagon, Lexus, and others, for service. We’ve spent significant money here, trusting them with our high-end vehicles, but my recent experience left me deeply disturbed and completely put off.

This time, I visited because the check engine light on my G63 had come on. My husband asked me to take it in since we’d previously done a full oil service and general maintenance with them just a few months prior. Upon arriving around 1 PM, I noticed the man at the front desk was having lunch. I greeted him with a smile and apologized for interrupting, explaining that something was wrong with the car. He looked up my name, said he would check on it, and walked off.

I waited for about 10 minutes with no update, so I approached him again, as I needed to know if this was a quick fix or if I should head home since I had to pick up my daughter. His response? He acted like he had no idea what I was asking about, saying vaguely that someone was checking on the car. He walked away to “check” again, and then sat back down at his desk without a word to me. No updates, no communication—just silence. At this point, nearly 20 minutes had passed, and I was left completely in the dark.

Frustrated, I called my husband to tell him what was happening. He told me to leave and take an Uber home if there was no clear update soon. Just as I was about to leave, the guy comes back and hands me a paper in a very dismissive way, saying, “Here you go.” When I asked what it was, he told me to look at the paper, which said I needed a new part costing $5,800. His attitude was nonchalant, almost as if he couldn’t be bothered to explain the issue properly.

I was taken aback by his lack of professionalism, especially when he added, “You’re in a hurry, right? Your car is ready to go.” I had never told him I was in a hurry. I simply wanted to know what was wrong with my car so I could decide whether to wait or leave the car with them and Uber it. When I pointed this out, he responded rudely, “You know it takes longer than five minutes to check a car, right?” I found his tone condescending and entirely inappropriate for someone who is supposed to be dealing with customers.

Feeling completely disrespected, I told him in front of my husband, who I was still on the phone with, that we weren’t at the mercy of their services and could easily take our business elsewhere. I made it clear that there are plenty of other places we could go to service our vehicles, and this would be the last time we’d bring our cars here. He just nodded in a very dismissive and disrespectful manner, as though he didn’t care.

To add to the context, we’ve taken multiple vehicles to Texas International Motors over the years, including our Range Rover, Escalade, and Bentley that we share with family, and spent a significant amount of money on their services. But after this experience, we will never be bringing any of our cars here again. The service I received was not just unprofessional—it was outright rude and dismissive. I’ve never been so frustrated with a company that we trusted for so long.

If you value professionalism, timely communication, and respect as a customer, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your car servicing needs.

Not to knock on any other shop, but two other shops gave me the runaround today when I asked for my spacers to be installed. Tesla model three performance spacer install took these guys 45 minutes and they charge me a fair enough price where I will definitely come back to them in the future for my Tesla installs. Hope you guys can install that swivel screen on the model three and hardwire my radar for me in a couple weeks. 🙂

I took my vehicle there for a small repair and they tried to charge me 4 hours labor and keep my vehicle in for days. After back and forth couple times i got tired of their lock of coordination and inability to repair my vehicle so I decided to take my vehicle to dealership. They were shock to hear what they were trying to charge me was double. Not sure if they are following Repair/Labor manuals or come up with whatever they want to charge. Repair was done within an hour by certified dealership. Definitely not going back there.!!!

About 3 years ago my engine blew out a gasket and oil got all over some wiring. The mechanic at the dealership replaced some of the wiring but missed one cable, recently that issue was discovered and talk about looking for a reputable automotive electric shop to repair it ( I didn't want to go back to the dealership because they take weeks ) . One electric shop wanted to replace the entire hardness which would have costed some BIG MONEY , another shop told me that all that had to be done is splice the wiring but that they were backed up with 10 cars already. Other shops didn't want to deal with the problem but , one of them referred me to Texas International Motors. Well, I spoke with Jose and explained in detail what needed to be done. The shop that actually discovered the problem basically did a band- aid job just to get me back on the road and explained to me that I needed to get the vehicle to an electric shop because that's not their specialty , anyway, I had pictures of the Mickey Mouse job they did and showed that to Jose as well. I brought the vehicle in the next morning and quite frankly they truly impressed me. Not only was the job done quickly but also very well within budget. As far as I am concerned, this shop truly rolled out the Red Carpet for me!!! Jose explained to me in detail what was done and quite frankly I am confident that they did an excellent job.

Took my Tesla there to get an alignment. I was so pleased with the work, I got them to replace the upper control arms. After that I got them to give me a custom alignment. All the work done was perfect and for a lot less than Tesla. These guys are awesome!
