I thought really hard if I should write this review or not. And I decided that I should write it because I don’t want anybody else to have the type of bad customer service that I had at this location on 7/22/2023 at 1 PM.
My husband and I were headed to Breckenridge, and we stopped at this gas station to gas up our vehicle, use the restroom and buy some coffee/snacks.
While my husband was getting gas I went inside the convenience store to use the bathroom and buy coffee/snacks.
When I entered it, the employee, a black lady with dreadlocks, was on her phone and she didn't acknowledge me inside the store. Since I couldn't find the restroom, I decided to approach her and ask where the restrooms were.
In more than 10 years living and traveling all over the U.S. from south Florida all the way up to above the arctic Circle in Alaska, I can guarantee you, I had never been mistreated like I was on that day.
I'm not going to write here exactly what she told me, but I left the convenience store crying. I used the bathroom, which is outside the store, and never went back to buy coffee/snacks.
I was in shock. She belittled me and was condescending with her words.
If management wants to contact me, I can describe the whole encounter.
I also work with the public, and I know how hard it can be to deal with people some days, but I always treat people the same way I want to be treated, with respect and kindness.
I hope management can provide her with training so she can learn that no matter how hard her job is or what kind of day she is having, she still needs to treat people with the respect and kindness they deserve.
