Very Poor prep on used cars. Have removed floor mats / cigarette lighters / tyre caps. Have found previous owners documents in the vehicle and cannabis stems in side compartment. Scratches on the car dealership never told me about before travelling 4 hours.

Have complained about this and struggling to get in contact.

The staff are amazing. But have to add the young gentleman who helped me in the Disabled section, was brilliant. I live in Kilmarnock in Ayrshire but next car Def be back there .
Front desk staff were great, I was offered coffee if I was waiting.. when my car was ready they tried contact me but my mobile froze . When I rang up to ask if completed service they were so understanding.
There is no room for improvement in this garage they give 100% .

I recently visited Evans Halshaw after accidentally overfilling the oil in my Golf, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Sandy and the team were fantastic! They promptly drained the excess oil and topped it up while I waited, making the whole process quick and efficient. The staff was professional and kept me well-informed throughout.

The waiting area was clean and comfortable, with a drinks machine available for customer use – a nice touch that made the short wait even more pleasant. Overall, I had a great experience, and I highly recommend this garage. I'll definitely be returning for future maintenance!

I serviced my car here for 4 years and was moderately happy with the service during that time. It was pricey, but I wanted what's best for my Clio 😉

The highlight of their offer is the pick-up and drop-off service. t’s very convenient—no need to travel through the city to get there, allowing me to carry on with my day while the car was serviced.

Nevertheless, it is not 2 stars for no reason. I need to point out that every year around the my car annual service I was getting a bit unease. I simply new I would be ripped off by my beloved service provider Evans Halshaw Renault Edinburgh, and I was on board with it, as long as it was clear and loud communicated.

However, this year (June 2024) was different. They quoted an extortionately high price for the standard 5-year manufacturer Renault service for my Clio over the phone (over £300). The same service is quoted at £120 on their website. (They will probably respond to this review saying it’s not the same service, but believe me, it is.)

When I inquired about the price difference, the person at the reception, as slippery as an eel, kept coming up with more and more ridiculous excuses for the extremely elevated, inconsistent pricing.

Turns out my observations over the years were correct: their business model is to rip you off as much as possible. Don’t be fooled by their smiles and fake professionalism; all they care about is your money.

Had my car brought in for a service and also needed a tyre puncture sorted a few days later. Both times Sandy was superb and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Sorted everything with no issues and also arranged pick up and delivery of the car making it as easy as possible for me.
