A pricier sushi place worth the cost for taste + ambiance. This reminded me of a spot I would find when I lived in New York.

The decor and layout of the restaurant is very eye-catching. Great for a night with friends or a date. They had a DJ (Sat night) with 5-star danceable music. We loved it but it’s probably not the best spot if you want to have serious/quiet conversation with your group.

We ordered sushi rolls recommended by our server who did not steer us wrong (wish I remembered the names of the rolls). The tuna taco apps were fresh but lacked a bit of flavor. The poke bowl was delicious (I just added a bit of eel sauce to make it top notch).

Overall I would return just for the atmosphere on a Saturday night. It is a great pre-outing dinner spot!

Went on NYE before it got super clubby. Food was great. We had the bulgogi egg rolls, tuna bites, and a sampling of nigiri (fatty tuna) as well as the ‘Do Not Disturb’ and ‘Double Dragon’ rolls.

Food: delicious, inventive dishes. Food came out VERY fast… we had the whole meal in under 40 mins. Thought everything had good flavor and variety across the menu. Sushi rolls could have more fishy options (vs smattering of tempura/tuna/salmon) but otherwise strong.

Price: it’s downtown st pete. Fair for the area.

Service: our server was nice but we felt rushed through the dinner. On the bright side, he was very attentive and food came out fast. However, we felt like they were trying to turn over tables quickly to capitalize on NYE traffic. No worries though

Walked in and wasn’t greeted for a few minutes. Then had a server walk by saying we would be seated soon and we were seated in about 2 minutes after that. When we sat our server didn’t come to our table for a noticeable amount of time but when she did, she, Alia, was great. We were ready to order once she got to us and we got our food less than 10 minutes after ordering. Alia kept coming to check up on us and she was super sweet. My boyfriend’s food only had 4 pieces of normal size shrimp on it and my food had big chunks of pork fat in it when I ordered pork belly as the protein. If the food would’ve been equal to the service, the rating would’ve been 5 stars. That being said, the sushi we got was good, nothing to call home about. I might come back to try something else on the menu.

The Hungry Taiga

Giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because we’ve visited when they first opened and it was really good as well as the atmosphere. However that went down hill REALLY quickly as we went back a month or two after and it was just awful.

The atmosphere is super cool but that’s about as good as this place gets. The milk bread was the star of the show and was what made me return but on my second and third time visiting (was hoping the second time was a fluke) it was still awful. Super squishy in a bad way like really undercooked and the rest of the food was almost inedible. We left for another place. For the price it is, you would expect way more. Service was pretty subpar as well since we had to actually get up to get the attention of any server since they were almost like Bigfoot -rare sightings.

Went there to spend some time with friends and even though service was amazing, the happy hours and other stuff were only available in the bar area; which to me it kinda doesn’t make sense because if you’re in the place, the special happy hour should be for everyone in the restaurant, not only for people sitting in the bar but anyway…
Other than that, food was nice but not the best one I’ve had. Drinks were delicious and the vibe of the place is really nice.
Recommend the lychee martini and the lychee sake and for the appetizers they have some sort of fries with kimchi and short rib that are ABSOLUTELY delicious.

This was my first time at Good Fortune St. Pete. I went with my wife and her family and we had a great time. From the moment you walk up to the establishment you can feel the vibes. The ambience and decor is top tier and truly welcoming. The DJ does a really good job at switching through great songs in different genres. Food and drinks were amazing and so was the shot we had at the end. I would be back here in a heart beat. Check out Good Fortune St. Pete if you’re ever in the area.

Really good food. Small menu but that can be a good thing. Good drink menu. Food comes out when it’s hot not all at once though. Tasty food and sushi was the best part by far.

So cute!! Love the vibes here. My server was amazing and the pork belly fired rice was the best I ever tasted. I loved the hello kitty roll as well 10/10 recommend.
