DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!! Bought a car a few weeks ago and after taking it to a garage they found it has a load of issues and dodgy work done. I’ve not had any response to phone calls or messages since raising this. Jonathan please reply to me and we can resolve this.
EDIT 2:
If you say you take customer satisfaction seriously, why did you not reply to any of my messages when the issue was first raised and why have you continued to not reply? If you understand the Consumer Rights Act, why are you not following it and allow me to return the car to you? Where is your attempt to resolve my issue?
You mention putting the car through a pre sale inspection and its MOT, however its MOT was in January 24 and I bought the car 7 months later in August so what did you or someone else do to the car since then?
If you look forward to resolving my concerns, I look forward to hearing from you.
EDIT:
Thank you for finally responding Jonathan. I can put the loose bolts back in the engine if that helps? But would rather not. I sent you a video of the visible issues including the washer jets, which is not due to ‘wear and tear’, they have the wrong side installed, which is glued down. Other issues of parts of the engine being loose and cables in disarray and near to moving parts of the engine. A rag being cable tied within the engine to stop a loose part rattling. The car making irregular noises whilst idle. The reason behind the timeframe is it has been checked by a mechanic and they could tell there is dodgy work done in the engine. I’ve tried to resolve this amicably over text and phone but you have not responded and I have had to result in leaving a public review. The car was not sold for spares and repairs and the only issue you described and agreed to is the wheel alignment and some minor body work issues which we have sorted and understand. We bought the car on 18/08/24 and reported the issue on 09/09/24, that’s not a month. And we are only just hearing from you now?
Your other reviews and online presence suggest you are a legitimate business and I am surprised at your silence when raising these issues.
We have offered to pay for your travel to collect the car.
Please refer to
‘The Consumer Rights Act 2015 will take account of the age and mileage of the car, so an older car will not be expected to be in the same condition as a newer car would be. The Act does not protect against wear and tear, or where a car breaks down through normal usage. It will only protect against problems with the car that you were not told about, or that emerge soon after buying it.
Timeframes to pay attention to
If a car develops a fault within the first 30 days of purchase, it is under statutory warranty and the buyer can simply reject it and return it to the dealer for a refund.
If a fault emerges between 30 days and six months from the date of purchase, the law assumes that the fault was pre-existing and, unless the seller can prove otherwise, the vehicle is still protected by statutory warranty. Here, the seller has one chance to fix the problem. If they do not manage to do that, the buyer is entitled to a refund, which may be less than the original purchase price to account for the time during which the car has been functional.’
Please move forward to do the right thing. I can see that other customers have brought issues to you weeks after they had purchased and you sorted it for them?
