I was from out of town and they were kind enough to take my pump in and repair it and it was really nice to see a shop that had the experience and equipment to repair and test and verify I was getting the correct parts repaired and tested. I was impressed with the courtesy and professional service.

UPDATE! - 2020

I now have THREE engines from these guys. They have done an 0-235 which they got up to 141 horsepower (our 152 is a BEAST now!) and an 0-300 which is now 163 hp (wonderful workhorse and as smooth as they come) and our 0-470 which is now an astonishing 260+ hp on the 182 (climbs at 1000 FPM out of our airport which is around 3000' density altitude in the autumn.) I cannot say enough good things about this place! DEFINITELY get them to 'port and polish' your cylinders when you send your engine in. Plan on your plane being down a while, they are NOT fast haha! But they are TOTALLY worth the wait. We run our own little 'mom and pop' flight school, and will continue to use LyCon for all our engine overhauls.

UPDATE 2023!

Now we are at 4 engines, and a fifth one is being overhauled now for use next year. Our school uses only LyCon engines (exception being a Franklin in a Stinson) and we are delighted with these engines!

Ly-Con has phenomenal customer service and very friendly staff. I had heard about the benefits of cryo treating metals and had heard Ly-Con does cryo treating of various metal parts. I had dropped off some pistol parts that are very susceptible to wear and fouling. To make a long story short, I have noticed an extraordinary difference between my pistols that have parts that have been treated and parts that haven't; it's like night and day. Highly recommend anyone that has metal components that are extremely prone to wear take them in to get treated. Thank you Ly-Con.

I’ve had 2 IO-540-AE1A5 Lycoming Engines performs better than new from factory. Better performance need to see to believe. I won’t be going anywhere else soon.

Great people. Very knowledgeable, they really helped me out when I lost my starter in Fresno. Bought a new starter and they guided me to an IA who got me back in the air .
