Mmmmight be my favorite ski area. Didn’t get much fresh snow this time but it was still perfect conditions. 5 minute wait for tickets at the base area. On New Year’s Eve. $100. Which is a great deal compared to everywhere else. Parking shuttle system was efficient. Definitely a family mountain. Terrain is terrific. And it’s huge. Can’t wait to go back.

Shout out to Clayton with the snowboarding class. He’s an absolute subject matter expert and I’m confident if he got my scary self to get down that slope he can teach anyone. 10/10 will come back with friends

Excellent old school ski area - friendly, great lifts, not mobbed. Very friendly staff and instructors. Acres of wide open snow and catering to different levels of skill. We went in the spring and the weather was great. Very drivable from Pogosa Springs (about 35 minutes on a very good road). Lots of natural sites to visit in the vicinity if you have down time. Highly recommend and worth the easy flight from the east coast to Denver and connect through to Durango - easy 1 hour drive from the Durango airport to Pogosa Springs.

Love, Love this place! Now I may be bias due to this being my 1st ski resort. However, this place is amazing to us. It’s super family friendly and we’ve seen families with babies on the skis. We have a toddler and I’m amazed at seeing some ppl with their babies on the snow (obviously they’re carrying them), but still. Highly recommend this place and give it a try. The day we went it was a total of about 3400 ppl on the hill the worker said.

One of my favorite if not best ski hill for me in North America. Nice powder staches paired with a soak in the deepest geothermal springs in the world

Overall one of the worst mountains we’ve been to compared to Vail, Keystone, Brek & others. Just a lot smaller. It’s great for families because it’s a lot cheaper but the lack of ski in ski out really sucks and the drive there and back from Pagosa springs is not fun to make daily.

Our family recently spent 10 days in South Fork and spend several days skiing/snowboarding at Wolf Creek. The snow was great and we had an awesome time. Loved the lodge and all the food/drinks we experienced while there. The chili is great! Give it a try! Don’t miss the opportunity to stop at the bar either!

Our daughter spent some time in ski school with Mr. Dan. He was great and she absolutely loved it! She was great on the slopes after this and we had lots of fun running the green and blue runs with her. Family friendly and a great place to have your littles attend classes.
