The Place is crazy. Bus come 3 hours late. Doesn't make no sense. Not sure if I'll even receive a refund. The walls are messed up Also it doesn't make absolutely how awful the smell is in there. The place is nasty. They don't have signs up as to tell the people of the train would be late or anything. It's most definitely not for the elderly/blind because there's no help to assist. The restrooms have to be nasty as well because it's as if the lobby is the restroom. Tampa has to step up their game here. To many people comes though her for places as so to be these way!! Come on Tampa all of our representation has to be on point now that we're on the map to success. We're having many buildings flying up but out historic buildings need attention. Where are our representatives of our state What are they doing keeping the funds in their pockets or what People comes from all over to come here by plane orbus and train tighten up! When a place is old doesn't mean it has to be nasty or broken up. All the funds this place making.... If I could post the awful smell on here I would.

Big Station inside but not great direction on where to go and how to navigate the area well. Not in bad shape but not up to date like the rest of the area in the city. The trains seem to run on time and the workers are extremely helpful. Once they extend the brighline to Tampa I believe it will get the updates and be a great station.

Historic Station with large waiting room. It only has 2 trains a day coming to it, Amtraks Silver Star. Additional seating is outside also. Bathrooms need to be updated. If you want to store your baggage, there’s only certain times the stations windows are open. I got there at 2:20 pm, to store my bags, so I could go return my rental car that was down by the port & explore the area without having my bags with me. The windows didn’t open until 3 pm. I happened see a staff member come out the room where they keep them when I 1st got there & asked if there was anyway to leave my 1 bag now. He pointed to the sign on the window & said it opens at 3. So I had to wait 40 minutes until they opened. He ended up being the same guy that took my bag anyway. I was the only person in the station at that entire time waiting. Staff really wasn’t the friendliest either. It was also $10 to store the bag for basically an hour & 1/2, since my train was at 5pm.

Historical landmark remember that when you see all the work that needs to be done. friendly and helpful staff .Quick and simple check in i would recommend getting there early if you want to park long term lot can get full and you may have to park outside gated area . Negative boarding was chaotic they shouted and trying to hear over all the people made it confusing on where to go and which train to board.

Nice little station and easy to get too. More of a three and a half star but with money and love it could be five star. The building is great but old and in need of some work. Getting on the train was easy. I took Uber but seems to be ample parking.

I’m not someone to leave reviews often, but I had a few things I wanted to say. The historic station is beautiful, although rather warm inside. The gentlemen at the ticketing/baggage check counter were efficient and friendly. My issue came with the boarding process. You cannot hear what is being said over the announcement speaker. I’m not hearing-impaired, but I do suffer from dysautonomia. While I’m only 40 and appear healthy, standing in an upright position, especially in the heat causes a severe increase in my heart rate (150 bpm), a drop in blood pressure and pre-syncope symptoms caused by a lack of oxygen flow to my brain (approaching a faint). I missed the call for passengers needing mobility assistance because I could not hear it. When I ventured outside, a large line had already formed. I overheard a staff member stating the line was for passengers needing mobility assistance. I also heard the staff member asking a customer what KIND of disability she had, which is actually against ADA compliance. Two staff members took turns taking 4-6 disabled people at a time down the enormously long sidewalk to the boarding area for the train by golf cart. Of course, being I do not “appear” to have a disability, I endured glares and people even pushed me out of the way and cut me in line, meanwhile, I’m dealing with an extremely dangerous heart rate and trying to stay conscious. Once I finally managed to get on a golf cart, I sat down in the heat and humidity to wait for the train to arrive. We then had to wait for several passengers to disembark from ONE door of the train. Remember all of the disabled people who were carted to the train and who had been sitting out in the heat and humidity the longest? Were they allowed to board the train first? Nope. Instead, Amtrak only allowed people traveling in groups of 2 or more to board. A line formed. No further announcement was made as I was waiting for a “single passenger” announcement…it didn’t come and the line kept growing. Again, everyone was boarding through the ONE open door! I strongly suggest that Amtrak find a way to accommodate persons with disabilities by allowing us to self-identify if we choose, so we can easily receive required assistance in the boarding process. The train ride itself was uneventful. The seats were fairly comfortable, WiFi was decent for scrolling on Facebook, temperature was pleasing and it’s nice to have an electrical outlet next to the seat to plug in a phone charger (might not be great for families traveling with young children, however).

All in all it wasn't a bad experience. However my train was delayed by 4 hours. I had to walk over to the Publix and eat and relax. There were no attendance on duty while we were waiting but they were there 30 minutes prior to the train arriving. Train staff was friendly seats were comfortable and all in all it is a great way to travel. There could have been more Outlets along the wall and the bathrooms could have been a little nicer but I did feel safe and will utilize it says a mode of transportation again.
