Unfortunately, I booked my car to fix the engine management light. They originally quoted me around £387, which I agreed to. Later, they called and said it would cost £1,345 extra instead of the original quote to fix the problem, which I declined. I took my car to another garage, and they fixed the same issue for just £135. They are worse than dealers. I would not recommend anyone to have their vehicle fixed there.

Excellent family run garage in Dumfries.
We live in Norwich and use this garage to maintain my elderly mother-in-laws car, she lives in Dumfries. From its annual MOT to anytime it needs a service or a repair the staff are always polite and very helpful. Keep up the good work, it makes my job a lot easier looking after mother-in-laws car from such a distance away.

For years balmoral road garage has been my garage of choice… friendly staff, last minute bookings accepted, all big and small jobs have been completed at what I believe to be fair prices for the service. Ashley and Shaun have always been good with me, honest and transparent. Honestly wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else for repairs in Dumfries

Best garage in the toon in my opinion and two other family members always use this garage too. Never had any problems with them, work is always completed in a timely manner, friendly staff, chatty and helpful.

Plus they'll go out of their way to help you if you're stranded, no problem.
I would not take my car anywhere else.

Outstanding service from Balmoral road car sales & service. After our car broke down with a seized alternator and broken auxiliary drive belt while on holiday, they fitted us in at very short notice when the AA took us in. They stayed on late to complete the work so that we could continue our journey home. Very friendly and helpful team.

Excellent service but started to get a bit pricey been quoted £214 cheaper for a timing belt replacement from a competitor in town .I can't fault the work previously done but shop around. Also my daughter quoted £66 to fix a door handle this same competitor £19 ! Why such a big difference?guess where ill be going .
