Returned to Hertz, having bought a nice car there in the past. Absolutely a fabulous deal on an almost brand new car, and they threw in a year of road service. This is the best place to buy a vehicle! Will return here when it is time for a pickup truck. Very polite salespeople, no pressure, no haggle. Very much worth the drive!

I did not buy a car from them. However, I will tell you my experience. I went to a credit union and they approved me $17k. I went in ready to make the purchase but Hertz personnel informed me that they don't accept V.I.P checks. I called my credit union and they told me that the check is just like a cashier's check but all I have to do is write in the info in myself to place the exact amount in closing. I tried to explain that to Hertz personnel and was willing to wait and keep the car there until the funds went through. However they didn't want to deal with that. Just Cashier's Checks. I asked my credit union if they offered cashier's checks. They did not. So Hertz personnel wanted me to finance with them. I walked out, but went back to see if they could finance me. They could not. I simply have no credit history. The Credit Union is willing to help me start building my credit.

I actually have the full funds sitting in my bank account but it's more beneficial to place a loan to build credit and keep the money for an emergency fund.

Hertz personnel is honest. The thing I liked about Hertz Car Sales was that there was no dealership bull. They gave me the final price up front. So I knew exactly what I would pay. They told me the truth and told me they could not help me. Unlike a certain Franchise dealership I went to that was shady and put anything on the paper to push the sale. Luckily I caught it and called their bull and walked away from that place. At 34 I am ready to buy my first car and going through this process has been fun and entertaining. I realize I am an outlier. I'm learning a lot. I'll have to go with someone else.

If I could rate this negative stars I would. I wanted to "rent to buy" a vehicle so a Hertz representative contacted me and gave the details. I then scheduled a rental date and time and he said the car was available. Two days later, I received a call and emails from a Hertz Houston car salesman and he said it would not be a problem if I came in early Friday as the car would be there the day before. I drove 3 1/2 hours to get there and the car was not available. He didn't have an answer as to why. I was told to call the "888" number. I spoke to someone at that number and she told me it was at the airport across town and she could not tell me when it would be available. I tried to get her to have them bring it, but she refused. If they actually cared, and gave good customer service like they claim, they would have made it right by having the car sent directly to the Hertz place where it should have been in the first place. Their claim to customer service is nothing but empty words read from cheap card stock paper. Hertz will never get my business again.

Our sales person listened to what features we wanted in a car for our teen and helped us to meet those goals including staying in budget. Very happy with the no haggle pricing and no weird fees on top of the overall price. Car is great for our purpose and we are very happy. Thanks to Mo Gaye for his helpful service.

This is one of those reviews where words may not be enough. I was looking for a Tesla and got a appointment scheduled on Saturday at 4pm with sales rep Abdel Chair. A window came up to actually stop by on a Tuesday and reached out to him if it was possible to come in early and it became possible. Once I arrived I was greeted and attended till he was available . Unfortunately the Tesla I was looking at sold but he gladly showed me the ones that were available. He found the keys to all the cars, let me inspect them all one by one with plenty of patience. Once I found the perfect one he allowed me to test drive it and gave good insight and information about the vehicle that I did not know. He helped me with the paperwork for the car all with a smile. He even went looking around for a charger he can include for the car. Overall Mr Chair took care of me and my family. We was well informed, attentive, and overall kind. I tried to thank him for his time and kindness but politely turned it down. Out of all my car purchases I have done this one take the cake. It is the best experience from start to end and all because of Mr. Chair. I do really wish the best for him.

Let me try to give you the short version. I found a vehicle I like but I feel the salesman and finance guy did not help me and made my experienced difficult. I did my application the night before I went I test drive and purchase vehicle. I got there around 11 am. My viewing and test took about an hour. By 12:19 they hard started to check/ run my credit. He said they only charge up to 3k on card but would have to go get a cashiers check for anything over. I also gave them proof of income, proof of residency, and bank statements and still did not have a response on approval. I left and called later but was told nothing yet. Then a little time after I sent an email then the finance guy called and said I was approved but the terms/ numbers were not adding up. At no time did we discuss the length of term for finance. He told me the interest rate at 72 months. When I asked about the how much interest would be charged and added I was told 16k …. On a vehicle that is $17927?!!! With 4500 down For 72 months. I asked if he could send me the numbers to look at because it didn’t make sense , he told he wouldn’t be able and I needed to come back in and he would explain. Shortly after the sales man called and asked if I spoke to the other guy ( they sit in the same open floor plan office across from each other ). I explained that I did and it wasn’t making sense. He said same thing that’s on a 72 month term but it would be okay because if I brought in the other money I would go towards the principal. I said that wasn’t adding up and I didn’t go over any terms( what if I wanted to do a 48 month term because I did.) the salesman said well I guess this is not working out for you, so I hung up the phone. That is besides the point . I didn’t see any financial breakdown while there. I didn’t see approval information while there . Hey I’m suppose to just go get my cashiers check and come ready to jump into a loan with lack of information. I felt I was handled poorly and not taken seriously.

Thanks but it was a horrible experience and a complete waste of time and impact on my credit.

We had a great experience with Abdel at Hertz Car Sales. We had gone to other dealerships with awful experiences, so we tried this place out. We were able to test drive and buy in less than 2 hours. The price was right and the interest rate was exactly where we needed it. Highly recommend!

At first I was weary about going to this place but let me tell you.. GO TO ABDEL!! ABDEL WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!! ASK FOR ABDEL!!!! All the sales men are not pushy like regular car dealerships. They keep it real and upfront with everything. If you like a car, but aren't ready to buy it THAT DAY.. Then that same day do the Rent2Buy because I promise you it will not be there tomorrow. They even work with you on financing. Ask for Abdel.
